We listen, we act – the benefits of working at ITPS
Posted on: 17th April 2024
Everyone wants to feel valued at work - it’s good for our mental health and general well-being, as well as leading to better engagement and productivity.
We know the best way to find out what our people think about what benefits they value most, and where there is room for improvement, is to ask them.
Our regular anonymous surveys give them the chance to tell us what they think about improvements we’ve made to working here, and suggest ways we can continue to improve.
Then we analyse the feedback and take action. For instance, in recent months we’ve upgraded our benefits package, including:
- Increasing annual leave to 27 days and adding a day off for birthdays
- Boosting maternity pay to four months full pay, and introducing paid paternity leave
- Implementing an annual pay review
- Introducing four months full pay for sickness leave
- Created a salary sacrifice car buying scheme
We’re continuing our relationship with Perkbox, a membership scheme which gives people the freedom to choose from a range of rewards that matter to them, and amended our Tech scheme to include the option of IKEA discounts and vouchers.
We’ve made changes to our office environment too, incorporating more spaces to take a break from work, and added in some plants around the main areas and meeting rooms. We’ve also upgraded our free breakfasts and added a top notch coffee machine, installed bike racks, and created an outdoor seating area, all in response to feedback.
Based on the success of last year, in 2024 we’ll be repeating our team building and charity days, which were a great way to meet and work with colleagues from around the business. We’ll also be continuing our focus on mental health support for our team through trained mental health first aiders.
Our HR Director Sam Heppell said: “We’re committed to prioritising well-being by listening to what our people want, providing benefits that resonate with them, and creating a workplace in which they can flourish and feel appreciated and respected.”
